Diabetick Program
A one stop shop for Diabetes complication screening!
If your diabetes is not managed well it can cause fatal complications. These complications can include:
Heart attack & Stroke Nerve damage
Kidney failure Limb amputation
Blindness Bowel disease
Early detection is essential in the prevention of any diabetes complications. The problem is, diabetes complications usually don't have any symptoms in the early stages. It is therefore very important to have annual complication screening tests so that early detection is possible.
Why is our program unique?
Our annual screening clinic is unique because we are able to provide all the necessary annual complication screening tests, in one area and in one day! This eliminates the need to see different heath professionals at different places, at different times.
Furthermore a comphensive report detailing your needs, goals and action plans in regard to diet, exercise, foot care and medication is prepared by each professional. A copy of the report is sent to you and your GP to help in the monitoring and management of your diabetes throughout the year.
What Happens On The Day?
The program usually runs from 8.00am - 12.30pm and involves:
