Our specialist clinic is able to provide a detailed assessment of cardiovascular risk, Health+ Heart provides expertise in cardiology assessment including hypertension, cholesterol treatment and fitness assessment. We have expertise and facilities for comprehensive risk assessment and advice on lipid disorders backed up by a specialist clinical nutritionist and exercise technicians for same day treadmill exercise electrocardiograms.

Patients are frequently referred to Dr Carey for specialist opinion after the detection of high cholesterol levels, high levels of triglycerides, diabetes or high blood pressure. Many people are referred because they are responding inadequately to treatment or do not tolerate the drug regimen selected by their GP. The Heart Protection Plan is a structured review for busy professionals which aims to identify and treat risk factors for heart disease - including many not routinely available.
